‘And They Call It Puppy Love’

Smudge’s Boyfriend!

Due to a lack of planning on our side, not many weeks after Smudge became part of our family, we were off on a holiday abroad and needed to find someone to take very good care of our still young puppy, Smudge. Fortunately, we knew just the right people, our very best friends the Traylor family and their furry companion, Oscar.

Oscar is a clumber-doodle, a handsome lad, proud and haughty, a couple of years older than Smudge and somewhat bigger! Well, it was love at first sight! Smudge, a young playful puppy, thought Oscar was the bees-knees and followed him around everywhere. However, Oscar remained unmoved by this little whipper-snapper that had invaded his home.

Six years later, and I’m sorry to say that it is still very much a case of unrequited love. Oscar remains aloof and disdainful towards Smudge, whilst she remains ever hopeful.

Cue a song…….”and they called it puppy love”
