The Groovy Dog Store Brand Ambassador!

Smudge is The Groovy Dog Stores brand ambassador and our very much loved English Springer Spaniel. As Smudge is very much our inspiration behind Groovy Dog and has Smudge’s Dog Deli dedicated to her, we thought you might like to know a little more about her.

Smudge was born on April 1^st 2017, so she has just celebrated her 6^th birthday and yes, she can be a bit of a joker. She is our fourth springer and came to us from a family near Exmouth in Devon. Her mum and dad were both working springers. We had recently lost our previous lady springer, Fly, after having her with us for over 15 years. We know that many of you out there will know and understand how very hard that is.

We had been looking for a little while and were having difficulties finding another lady spaniel when Smudge’s family called us. We had previously spoken with them, but all their puppies had been promised to homes. That day, they had heard from one perspective owner who had reluctantly changed her mind, were we still looking for a lady springer. We jumped in the car and drove straight there!

Smudge was with all her brothers and sisters but made a beeline for Adrian, sat on his foot and started chewing his shoelaces. Sometimes, things are just meant to be!
